Well it has been great to have Shelley home. She has been able to laugh, cry and have fun with all of us. Unfortunately even though it has been nice to have her home she has had a very difficult week. Since she was released she has not been able to keep anything down, both water or food. The Doctor changed her medication a couple of times to try and stop her nausea. By Wednesday Nov 5 she was completely exhausted. On Wednesday we went into the Doctor to have her second round of Chemo. The second he saw her he could tell that she was to weak to have Chemo. I thought while I was taking her to the doctor that we would see a lot of people much like herself. When I open the door to the waiting room I immediately saw that that was the furthest from the truth. She was at least 3 times worse than anyone that I could see. The doctor suggested that she be admitted back to the hospital. She asked for another way. He gave her I V in his office to get her hydrated and order the home nurse to teach us how to administrate the saline solution. Its now been a day and a half, Shelley is still not keeping anything down. When the doctor called tonight he said the best thing that could be done is to re admit her to the hospital. That is what we plan to do tomorrow morning. She has been experiencing more and more head aches and the Doctor feels that this is the cause of her not being able to keep anything down. The plan before was to do one more round of Chemo, wait 3 weeks and then do another MRI to her head to see if there was any changes. She will have her MRI tomorrow after they admit her to the hospital. In our faith we fast each month on one sunday for 2 meals. We believe that this can draw a person closer to God as he or she prays. Being that this Sunday is our fast sunday we are asking everyone, who would like to, join us in fasting and praying for Shelley. Thank you

Why do roller coaster rides attract the most attention at the fair?

It´s neither the speed, the loops, the curves, the blinking lights, nor the loud music which attracts spectators.

The main attraction is the behavior of the courageous roller coaster riders who overcome their fears: They are strong enough to get a thrill and scream and shed tears of joy during a scary ride of ups and downs and all arounds.

We admire you, Shelley, for showing your strength, for wearing a cool bandana to the fair, for holding on tight, for smiling into a camera when everything is upside down, for taking the steps to overcome fear, for giving hope a chance.

Shall we meet for some fry bread and a root beer?

Shelley we love you and our family will fast with yours this Sunday. Keep fighting! My heart breaks each time I read the updates. Our family has shed tears for you, but we have faith in our Father in Heaven and know that He will take care of you and your family. Michael we love you too and know this must be so hard on you. I know there is nothing we can do or say that helps, but know that we are here and our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Tonight we are having dinner with Greg and Jean Kimball. I am sure we will laugh alot as we remember stories of WMA days together - and I am sure we will cry together for you and your family. Again, we love you and we will do anything you need us to do for you. As I have pondered these couple of weeks about what you are going through Shelley, I cannot even imagine it! I was up late one night thinking of you and wishing I could do something, when a peaceful feeling came over me and the thought that came into my mind was: "Isn't wonderful that our Saviour does know exactly what she is feeling, and He will comfort her?" I was overwhelmed knowing how much our Heavenly Father and our Saviour love each one of us. They don't always take away our pain - as you well know - but They are there and They do love you and they are watching over you and your family. And, by the way, I can't believe Colleen is that old! I still remember her puking all over me at that WMA meeting - she was so cute! Hang in there and don't give up hope. Jeff, DeAnn Land Brittany Lindblom.

You know our family will join with yours in our fasting and faith for you and your doctors and your family. Shelley, in every picture I see of you, I see the light that is within you--your spirit--who you really are and it reminds me why I, along with everyone else who knows you, am drawn to you and love being around you and want to be like you. You continue to be an example to me of courage and faith. We love you and Mike and your awesome kids.

Love you,
Paula, Tracy and the gang

Mike, I know this is a very hard time for you. You need support and to accept it. My dad went through this. But he had to watch my mom slowly die for 5 years. My youngest sister was 10 and I'm the only one that was out of the house at the time (there are 9 kids in my family). He has been stalwart throughout the whole ordeal, but if anyone was to know exactly what you are going through, it'd be him. Can I please give him your number or ask you to call him? I know it would and will be hard if you want to, but it might help. And even if it doesn't, at least you'll have made one more friend. He fasted for Shelley, so he knows you through me. And since he's lost his mom, dad, mother-in-law and now his wife recently, he has a great perspective of life and death. My e-mail is loriensmother@msn.com. We love you and hope the best for you all! Let me know if you would like to talk to him. . .

Shelley, I love hearing how you are doing. I will admit it usually makes me very sad. It seems like at every turn there is some complication. My family thinks about you and prays for you. We love your family. My girls were talking today about how much they like your boys-by the way, sorry Larissa was peddling prescription eyedrops to Lincoln at school. I informed her that is not a good idea but she was glad they seemed to help Lincoln's eye. We felt saddness for you when you were not able to be there for senior night with Colter and Mike. That just brought up a conversation about your family and Jan mentioned how he always felt like you and Mike were like newlyweds and he could tell you really enjoyed being together. We all love your family.

I am constantly torn wanting to come and see you but not wanting to take time or your energy away from any you have with your family, not to mention we have had sick kids here. Please know my thoughts are with you always-there isn't a day that goes by I don't think about you and say a little prayer for you and your family.

Love, Amanda
