Thanks for all your prayers....Shelley was able to come home today!!!! I know that we are not out of the woods, but just the same it is nice to have her home. She has been losing more and more of her hair. It was nice to have Sue Martinez come over to the hospital before she left. Sue has several wigs that Shelley likes. They did hair, nails, make up and had a good laugh when Shelley almost fell in the toilet with Sue. As Shelley said later you just have to have a good laugh at those things. Big thanks to my sisters Carol, Connie, Sandra, Cindy, Tina, Nikki, Janeen and the many volunteers that helped to make over our Master Bedroom. The time and materials that everyone donated was truly amazing. Shelley cried for a good half hour when she saw it and every time she opens her eyes she can hardly believe the room that she is in. She said she feels like she is in the presidential suite of a 5 star hotel. Thanks again, I know that it will make a difference on how she feels. We are watching over her almost every min since she came home. Infection is the biggest problem, if she gets one she'll be back in the hospital. We will have an in-home nurse come 2 times a week. Shelley is looking forward to having visitors come over but the doctors have warned us to only have people that are healthy. Sorry no sickies, ha ha.

No place like home, no place like home ... especially when it´s a ***** Hotel! We´ll keep our cooties to ourselves, but we´ll continue to send our bacteria free positive energy.

We are so excited to hear that Shelley is home. There is a lot of truth to the old sayng, " There's no place like home." We will also keep our germs at our house, but would love to help out in any way. We will continue to keep your family in our prayers and pray especially for no new infections. Perry is going to make the drive tomorrow to cheer on our boys in Yuma and I am going to send Halloween treats for our group of boys. At least they will get a little candy...for they still are our little boys, no matter how big they get.
You are in our thoughts everyday and in our prayers constantly. Love, The McArthurs

Home Sweet Home!! It's great news! They don't count "Cabin Fever" as a side effect, but it certainly exists when you're in the hospital that long, eh?...I'm glad you can scratch that off your list now. Glad you're home Shelley!

Shelley, CONGRATULATIONS!!! It was good news all around our house to hear that you were home. Just make sure that since you feel like you are at a 5 * resort don't forget to order room service like you own the place! As you know i do daycare with alot of little ones so i won't take the chance to visit indoors but if you feel like sitting on the porch call me. Open those windows and get lots of sunshine! We love you and couldn't be more excited for you and your sweetie! Love the Keller's

Shelley
I spoke briefly to Carole last night and heard you'd just arrived home. I got off the phone and cried. We are SO happy that you are home with your family. I gave my number to Carole to pass on to your RS pres. There are some in my ward who know you and we all want to help in any way we can. Get your rest gal, and do try to eat. I think of you each and every day and you are in our family prayers. I'm subbing a lot at WFHS right now and will be sure to give your Lincoln a warm pat on the back whenever I see him.

Enjoy being home!

This blog has been so informative. Thanks for keeping us updated. Please keep it up. Shelley, we are so excited that you got to go home, especially to a beautiful room (A lot better than the hospital, I'm sure). Now you need to get your strength up and know that even tho we don't write much, we are concerned and wish you well. I remember Keams Canyon in the summer too! Velvety Autumn

As autumn colors in richness peaks
The colors of fall upon us creep.
Leaves of gold and crimson reds
With sage, orange and brown are spread.

Coming to the end of summer's awe.
This highlights nature’s autumn call.
A time that nature begins to relax,
The colors of fall now to the max.

The blessings of velvety autumn hue
Given by God to me and you.
The beauty of this season’s insight
Is nature’s responding in God’s delight.

As God looks down from above
Pleased by his wonder work of love.
The beauty of this season soon to fade,
As winter slowly pulls down the shade.

Hey Shelley!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick, but I'm so glad that you are home now! Your family is so beautiful, and has grown so much sense I've last seen you guys... like 12 years ago!

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could come over and see you, but I live in Virginia now while my husband is in medical school. I wish I could come and help out, but I'm happy to hear that you have lots of love and support from so many. You are so loved, that is aparent.

I just wanted to send you my love.

Becky (Petersen) Evans

P.s. I don't think that I've ever properly thanked you for letting me and my friends come and swim in your pool when I was a kid. Those are some of my favorite memories. I'm sure we were pretty loud and annoying, but you were always so sweet to us. Thank you.
